The Old and The New Podgorze's cemeteries |
 The Old Podgorze’s Cemetery is the place of bury of artists, national heroes, of merits and pioneers of industry and trade. It’s the oldest cemetery in Cracow.
In 1900 cemetery was closed and nowadays is very neglected. It’s open from dawn to dust.
In April 17th, 1900 the New Podgorze cemetery was found. Then Tekla Dudek from Zakrzowek was buried as a first. In the first Lear there were 400 people burried here. Few years after foudation a chapel, Protestants’ and suicides’ districts were build.
