It is the green curiosity of Cracow. It’s a 48 ha meadow in the middle of the town. First of all nuns owned it, but later on the city possessed it and people who live in Zwierzyniec and Nowa Wies districts could graze their cattle there.
Nowadays Blonia is a recreation area where you can walk, bike ride or take the sun bath. There are lot of events organize there like music concerts, exhibitions or masses. To worship John Paul II there is a boulder with a plaque.
