On the East of Cracow there was a village found next to the Wanda’s Mound and a medieval monastery of Cystersi. In 1949 first housing developments of Nowa Huta and the new metallurgy factory were build.
Cystersi found the monastery and the church. They helped in founding the village, cultivated modern agriculture, made the land improvement, build mills, bakeries, but first of all they have taken care of their biggest treasure – The Miraculous Cross of Jesus Christ with natural hair and beard.
Every year on September 14th there is an church fete in Mogila’s Sanctuary.
Next to the Sanctuary there is a wooden Saint Bratlomiej’s Church from XV century.
